Olin Brass Implements BestTransport’s Cloud-based Transportation Management System

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Jan. 26, 2012) – GBC Metals, LLC, (d/b/a Olin Brass), a subsidiary of Global Brass and Copper, Inc., has successfully implemented BestTransport’s cloud-based Transportation Management System into their Mill Products business unit and is in the process of rolling it out to four additional North American operations, announced today by Patrick Taylor, BestTransport President.

"Olin Brass had a successful start-up utilizing our suite of cloud-based TMS products," says Taylor. They’ve been moving their daily volume of shipments through the system and it appears they are well on their way to more effectively managing their transportation processes."

Taylor adds, "Their success has been a result of our TMS instituting discipline into our customers’ carrier selection process, doing it through algorithms that offer loads first to the most cost-effective carrier in their stable," he added.
