Atlas Tube Becomes Latest BestTransport User

Shipper Expands BestTransport's Canadian Community

Columbus, Ohio (May 30, 2003) — Atlas Tube, Inc. has selected BestTransport, the leading provider of Online Transportation Execution Systems, to help it achieve improved customer service levels and lower transportation costs, it was announced today by Mark Shary, President of BestTransport.

Atlas Tube, North America's largest and most advanced manufacturer of steel hollow structural sections, will implement BestTransport's online transportation execution system at its Harrow, Ont., and Plymouth, Mich., production facilities, said Barry Zekelman, Atlas Tube's Vice President.

"We see BestTransport creating a competitive advantage for Atlas Tube and our customers," said Zekelman. "Hollow structural sections are gaining an ever-increasing share of the structural steel marketplace and Atlas Tube is leading that growth. BestTransport's online execution system will add to that capability."

"Whether we are shipping within the U.S., within Canada or across their border, BestTransport's system adds real-time status information and shipment reporting to the service we can provide our customers," Zekelman added.

Shary said that Atlas Tube's Canadian carriers also benefit from becoming users of the system because they now will have the opportunity to provide transportation services to other U.S-based shippers in the BestTransport community that distribute product north of the border. "Whether they are making intra-Canada or trans-border moves, Atlas Tube's carriers will now have the ability to establish viable relationships with other BestTransport shippers, giving them opportunities for continuous moves and the capability to return to their home markets from the U.S. with desirable freight," Shary said.
