Vince Ciroli, Founder and Board Director
Vince Ciroli has over forty years of business experience. Early in his business career, Vince was with General Electric as part of their Financial Management Training Program. Later he joined the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency where he was a commissioned National Bank Examiner. Vince's banking career spans all areas from lending to investment and he has held senior management positions at the bank and holding company level. Additionally, Vince has been involved in real estate through-out his business career from property development to brokerage ownership. He was an early adopter of technology, as it pertained to real estate, and brought his knowledge of technology and the Internet in the founding, along with Rick Frio, of BestTransport. Vince has served in a number of capacities with BestTransport, from Founder, to President, to Chairman of the Board and as a Director. Vince holds a degree in Economics and Marketing from Eastern Kentucky University.
Jeff Doose, Chairman of the Board
Jeff Doose is a Partner of Adena Ventures and a member of the fund's investment committee. He serves on the Boards of Directors of BestTransport, Inc. and Visum, Inc. For the past 24 years, Jeff's career has included roles as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and college professor. He has managed a venture capital fund and worked in high growth enterprises, development banks, and educational institutions in rural development contexts as diverse as the Mississippi Delta, the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas and Native American communities in Minnesota. Jeff holds degrees from Soutwest State University (BA), the University of Colorado (MA) and the University of Denver (JD).
Jakki Haussler, Board Director
Jakki Haussler is a Partner of Adena Ventures and a member of the fund's investment committee. Jakki also serves on the Board of Directors for SecureMethod, Inc. She is the Founder and President of Opus Capital Advisors, an intermediary services firm, and is also a Partner of CapVest. Earlier in her career, Jakki was a Managing Partner for the Blue Chip Opportunity Fund and worked in the mergers and acquisitions department at Cincinnati Bell. Jakki has held positions in the areas of investment banking, audit, accounting and tax.
Eugene Greenberg, Board Director
Eugene Greenberg (Gene) is an innovative leader and change agent with many years of experience at the senior management level in the metals industry. Gene has 15 years of manufacturing experience at an aluminum rolling mill including 2 years as plant manager at Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition to normal supervisory role, Gene led an effort to utilize purchased scrap for the first time at the facility. From 1981 until retirement in 2001 Gene’s experience has been in Material Management. Worked for Omnisource, Commonwealth Aluminum, and Alumax Aluminum. When Alcoa purchased Alumax in 1998, gene was hired as President of Metal Purchasing, Trading and Transportation.
Since retirement from Alcoa in 2001 Gene has been active part time as a consultant in the metal industry working with clients such as Wabash Alloys, Indalex, and Worthington Steel. Gene’s consulting is centered upon how to use the futures markets to help make everyday decisions, and to avoid market risks by making sound financial and market decisions. Gene served on the Board of Directors at United Aluminum, which is a privately owned company in North Haven, Connecticut.
Patrick Taylor, CEO and Board Director
Prior to being CEO of BestTransport, Pat Taylor founded IMC Supply Chain Services, an innovative Supply Chain company that provides sales and consulting services to shippers and carriers. Pat was the Chief Technology Officer of BestTransport from its inception in 1999 until late 2005. Prior to BestTransport, Pat was Manager of Systems Development and Network Support with Tropical Shipping, the leading steam ship company from the USA to the Caribbean and South America. Pat has a B.S. in Chemistry from Imperial College London and is an Associate of the Royal College of Science in England.
Erin Kiliany, Vice President of Products
Erin Kiliany has been with BestTransport since early 2000. She has held a variety of roles in development, implementation, marketing, and customer service throughout her tenure, and is currently charged with setting the company’s technology direction in response to our customer’s requirements. Erin holds a BSBA degree with specialization in Management Information Systems from West Virginia University.
Grant Allen, Vice President of Customer
Grant Allen has been with BestTransport since 2002 where he started as a member of its data analysis team. He has gone on to work in a number of different positions throughout his career in areas including customer service, EDI, product design, account management, and implementation. In his current role as Vice President of Customers, he is charged with providing strategic leadership in all customer-facing activities to ensure satisfaction at all stages of the customer life cycle. Grant has a B.S. in Systems Analysis and Computer Science with a special interest in Mathematics from Miami University located in Oxford, OH.
Rick Frio, Founder
Prior to founding IMC in 2006, Rick Frio was co-founder of BestTransport in 1999. In addition to founding BestTransport, Rick filled many roles in the organization, from VP of Sales to CEO and President. Prior to BestTransport Rick spent 20 years in sales with Smith's Transfer and as a sales executive for System Transport, a nationwide carrier based in Spokane, Washington. He has a B.S. in Accounting from Wheeling Jesuit University and has been a presenter at various transportation and steel industry conferences.
